Trista Barish, MS, ATC

Trista earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University (BU) in 2011 and master’s degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2013. She completed her thesis work on the effects of IASTM versus massage in alleviating signs and symptoms of delayed-onset muscle soreness. She worked as Director of Education at HawkGrips for over three years – a role in which she coordinated HawkGrips continuing education courses and instructed clinicians on how to appropriately incorporate HawkGrips products into daily practice. She now works as a Territory Sales Representative for Performance Health.

Prior to working with HawkGrips, Trista was an assistant athletic trainer at Holy Family University (HFU) in Philadelphia. Prior to HFU, she worked as a graduate assistant at West Chester. Trista was first exposed to IASTM in 2010 by a preceptor during her time at BU. Her initial spark of interest grew after taking a CEU course on the subject and incorporating IASTM into her daily practice. After seeing years of great results with her athletes by utilizing IASTM, Trista’s passion lies in training other sports-medicine clinicians on how to achieve the same positive outcomes. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, mostly off-key, and almost always sings while teaching!
