Building the Future of IASTM Education on Campus
What does the future of IASTM education look like? In 2025, we’ve seen it firsthand… students across the country rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on with HawkGrips tools as part of their physical therapy, athletic training, and occupational therapy programs.
Through the HawkGrips University Program, we’ve partnered with colleges and universities to bring real-world IASTM training and certification directly into the classroom. Students build confidence, skill, and a deeper understanding of how to apply IASTM in clinical care, all while using the industry’s best IASTM tools: HawkGrips.
Here are some highlights from this year as we bring IASTM education to life for students.
IASTM Education in Universities Across the Country
In the first half of 2025 alone, HawkGrips partnered with 11 universities to bring hands-on IASTM education to more than 220 students and clinicians in physical therapy, athletic training, and occupational therapy programs. From small-group labs to full-program integrations, our University Program is helping shape the next generation of rehab professionals.
And we’re just getting started. Many more schools are already lined up for the second half of the year.

Collaboration in Action
One standout moment this year was our partnership with Sacred Heart University. Students and clinical preceptors gathered in person on campus for a weekend workshop to take the HawkGrips Level I IASTM course. The course was delivered virtually, led live by our instructor, while participants practiced hands-on together. This hybrid approach bridged virtual instruction with in-person collaboration. Bringing different levels of experience into the same room created a unique learning environment that fostered shared insights and deeper understanding among all participants.
We understand that every university has its own needs and goals, so we work closely with each program to design a flexible format that fits their schedule and learning objectives.
