Q.Who is eligible to take HawkGrips IASTM courses?

Our IASTM certification courses are open to the following professionals: physical therapists (PT), physical therapist assistants (PTA), chiropractors (DC), licensed massage therapists (LMT), occupational therapists (OT), occupational therapy assistants (OTA), and certified athletic trainers (ATC). While medical doctors (MDs) and personal trainers/coaches are also welcome to enroll, please note that we do not gain CEU pre-approvals for these professions in any states. If you have questions about eligibility, email us at education@hawkgrips.com.

Q.Can students enroll in HawkGrips IASTM courses?

Our IASTM courses are generally designed for licensed professionals. However, students may be eligible to participate by exception. If you’re a student interested in learning IASTM techniques, please reach out to education@hawkgrips.com for details. Students should note that any techniques learned during the course must be performed only under the supervision of a licensed professional or after obtaining licensure, in accordance with state regulations. Additionally, HawkGrips offers a University Program specifically for students— faculty members can contact us for more information.

Q.Do HawkGrips courses offer CEUs?

Q.Do I need IASTM tools to take a HawkGrips course?

For in-person IASTM certification courses, HawkGrips provides all the necessary tools and equipment. However, participants are welcome to bring their own tools if they prefer.

For virtual IASTM therapy courses, we recommend having an IASTM tool available for practice and, if possible, a partner to work with. While instructors will demonstrate IASTM technique using HawkGrips tools, participants can use any tools they choose.
