Manual Orthopaedic Therapist; 1998 Graduate of Loma Linda University with a Masters in Physical Therapy, and a transitional Doctorate from The College of St. Scholastica. Dr. Burger is part owner of Burger Physical Therapy, Inc., a California corporation responsible for delivering rehab services through a continuum of outpatient clinics, long term care facilities and multiple acute hospital systems. Dr. Burger takes a keen interest into the role that soft tissues play in performance and function; a personal history that includes Gua sha, Lomilomi, Graston Technique, and FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab).  Each of these paradigms may be considered forms of Instrument Augmented Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM). Dr. Burger has been teaching IASTM since 2005, having taught over two hundred seminars both nationally and internationally to groups that have included physical therapists, chiropractic, athletic trainers, massage therapists, as well as primary and orthopaedic medical physicians. Currently, Dr. Burger is studying the role that IASTM plays within home exercise programs.
