Q: I can't seem to access my HawkGrips Academy account. How do I get back in?
A: HawkGrips migrated to a new learning management in March 2023. If you had an account set up prior to that time period, you will likely need to email education@hawkgrips.com to get your new account set up.
Q: I am a student and want to learn IASTM and/or BFR. Can I attend your course and gain a certification?
A: Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, we would love to have you attend a HawkGrips course. Unfortunately, we are unable to grant students certification as a student. However, you can save the certificate you gain from the course and receive the official HawkGrips certification once you graduate. You would simply contact us when you graduate and we could provide you with the certification then.
Q: Is Level I: IASTM Fundamentals approved by AOTA for OTAs so I can report the CEUs.
A: What state are you from?
A2: Hello! Thanks for asking! HawkGrips doesnt have any pre-approval for occupational therapists for our courses. In most cases OTs are able to self submit our courses, please let us know if you need any assistance here!
IASTM TRAINING FAQs
Q: What conditions can be treated with IASTM?
A: IASTM can be used to treat a wide range of conditions! Including:
Q: Do I need tools to participate in a course? Do they need to be HawkGrips tools? Do I need a lab partner?
A: For In-Person Courses - HawkGrips provides training tools and all of the equipment needed for training. If you would like to bring your own IASTM tools, you are welcome to.
For Virtual Courses- We strongly recommend having an IASTM tool available to you, as well as a partner to practice with and provide feedback with in real time. Although the instructors will reference HawkGrips tools, you are able to use any tool to learn the treatment strokes.
Q: Who is eligible for training?
A: These courses are available for the following professionals: PT, PTA, DC, LMT, OT, OTA, ATC

Q: Will I earn CEUs for your courses?
A: Yes. HawkGrips provides CEUs for all of our courses. To see if your state and profession are covered, click here or contact education@hawkgrips.com for more information.
Q: Do you offer discounts for products?
A: Yes, HawkGrips course attendees will receive exclusive discounts on all IASTM tools and products.
BFR TRAINING FAQs
Q: What is Blood Flow Restriction?
A: BFR training is an exercise technique that manipulates the body’s circulatory system, and when combined with exercise, produces rapid gains in strength and fitness using light-weights in a very short period of time.
Q: Is BFR Training Safe?
A: Yes. The training course covers how to effectively and safely implement BFR into your practice.
Q: Who can benefit from BFR?
A: BFR is a beneficial training tool for a variety of clinical scenarios. It can benefit any patients limited by injury, pain, post-operative restrictions, or deconditioning.
Q: Do I need my own bands to participate in a course? Do they need to be made by BStrong Powered by HawkGrips ?
A: For In-Person Courses - HawkGrips provides training equipment needed for training. If you would like to bring your own BFR bands, you are welcome to.
For Virtual Courses- We strongly recommend having a BFR set available during the course. Although the instructors will reference BStrong BFR bands, you are able to use other bands. Contact us if you have any additional questions.
