Clinical Corner: Treating Plantar Fasciitis and Its Mimickers (Course Discount)
This 1-hr webinar is designed for clinicians to enhance their understanding of plantar fasciitis, including screening, differential diagnosis, assessment, and management. Plantar fasciitis is a common orthopedic diagnosis that can cause significant disability. Understanding the patho and arthrokinematics, assessment, differential diagnosis, and effective treatment of this challenging diagnosis will help the allied health professional initiate appropriate and effective evidence-based interventions.
This course is eligible for 1 Hours of CE Credit.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REGARDING THE VIRTUAL FORMAT:
This is a LAB-based and interactive course. It is strongly recommended (but not required) to have access to the following:
1. (For IASTM) At least one IASTM tool and a partner / "patient" to practice on.
2. (For BFR) BFR equipment. BFR application / practice can be performed on a partner or yourself.
Our in-person and virtual courses cover the same information, course objectives, and have the same certification exams. For virtual, the live (zoom) portion has a condensed schedule.

- Describe the anatomy and biomechanics of the foot and ankle relative to plantar fascia.
- Distinguish between normal and abnormal lower quarter biomechanics and their effects on the plantar fascia.
- Discuss biomechanical exam findings of the lower quarter and utilize the information to design an appropriate treatment plan including application of Manual Therapy and IASTM.
- Implement an evidence-based exercise program to address selected lower leg, foot and ankle pathology.
