Clinical Corner: Supplementing Hip FAI Rehabilitation Programs with IASTM and BFR - Non-Surgical & Surgical Applications
This 1-hr webinar will explore using Blood Flow Restriction and IASTM as a rehab intervention in both the non-surgical and surgical treatment of FAI. The webinar will also cover the biomechanics of normal hip function and the implications for FAI, as well as discuss the evidence of non-operative and operative treatment of FAI. The speaker will discuss how to develop a comprehensive plan of care for FAI, that utilizes BFR and/or IASTM when appropriate.
This course is eligible for 1 Hour of CE Credit.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REGARDING THE VIRTUAL FORMAT:
This is a LAB-based and interactive course. It is strongly recommended (but not required) to have access to the following:
1. (For IASTM) At least one IASTM tool and a partner / "patient" to practice on.
2. (For BFR) BFR equipment. BFR application / practice can be performed on a partner or yourself.
Our in-person and virtual courses cover the same information, course objectives, and have the same certification exams. For virtual, the live (zoom) portion has a condensed schedule.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the evidence for non-operative and operative treatment of FAI.
- Understand the evidence based objective findings and scientific evidence for using Blood Flow Restriction training in the rehabilitation of FAI.
- Understand the evidence based objective findings and scientific evidence for using IASTM as part of a FAI rehabilitation program.
- Develop an individualized, comprehensive, rehabilitative plan of care for FAI that includes BFR and IASTM.
